In the heating and cooling circulation system, impurities will be produced in the initial water injection, flushing and actual operation, which will cause varying degrees of harm to the heat exchanger, circulating pump, valve components and pipelines of the host, resulting in a decrease in the thermal efficiency of the system, failure and even complete damage to some components. If there is no suitable initial filtration and fine filtration in operation, the service life of the host will be greatly reduced, and the later operation and maintenance costs will rise sharply.
Kalefi XF decontamination filters are used in heating and cooling systems to remove all impurities from primary filtration to fine filtration. It can effectively reduce the problem of clogging the traditional filter screen, but also can clean the internal filter without removing the valve body.
Filtration and decontamination consists of three functions: primary filtration of the outlet filter, fine filtration of the center separation net, and adsorption of iron filings of the magnetic bar.
The XF filter effectively protects the boiler or heat pump from impurities and extends the service life of the heat source.

Working principle
Filtration and decontamination are mainly divided into the following three steps:
1. Water flow enters from the middle of the decontamination filter, collides with the internal rectangular separation net, and the impurities sink to the pollution storage tank under the action of gravity.
2. The central magnetic bar generates a magnetic force to adsorb rust impurities on the magnetic bar shell.
3. The outlet of the decontamination filter has a large area of filter screen for filtering larger particles of impurities, and the 160µm filter screen is not easy to cause surface blockage.

Double filtration
The Kalefi XF decontamination filter has two filter elements.
The internal rectangular separation mesh is used to filter the impurities of collision subsidence, and the filtration level is 5 µm.
The filter screen with a large area of the outlet is used for mechanical retention of particle impurities greater than 160 µm.
Screen cleaning
No need to remove the valve body, when the system stops circulating, turn the external handwheel, you can drive the internal cleaning brush to clean the impurities on the surface of the filter screen, so that it precipitates to the pollution storage tank.
Separation of rust impurities
The central magnetic bar can produce a huge magnetic force, and the fine iron filings that pass through the decontaminator are adsorbed around the outer shell of the magnetic bar.
When discharging, the magnetic rod is drawn out from the decontamination device, and the impurities sink to the sewage storage tank under the action of gravity, and are discharged through the bottom drain valve.
Adjustable bypass
The inlet of the DN 40 (577800, 1 1/2 ") and DN 50 (577900, 2 ") type deconfouling filter has a by-pass adjustment function to achieve partial deconfouling and increase the flow capacity Kv value.
100% filtration is recommended for the initial flushing of the system and the operation of the previous month, and the flow can be partially filtered after the system enters normal operation.
Reinforced nylon
The XF decontamination filter body reinforced nylon is specially selected for use in heating and cooling systems. Its main characteristics are as follows:
High hardness material to prevent deforming or damage to the decontaminator;
Strong crack resistance;
Not affected by humid environment;
Strong resistance to current erosion;
The performance is not affected by temperature change;
Suitable for glycol solution or added to other chemical circulation media.

It can be installed horizontally or vertically
The flexible sleeve of the XF decontamination filter allows it to rotate 360° and can be installed in either horizontal or vertical pipes.
The valve body must always be kept vertically downward.
